The VCL-EX0877 is the 0.8x wide conversion lens for the Sony PMW-EX1. With the VCL-EX0877 mounted to the PMW-EX1, the focal length becomes 25.1mm to 351mm (31.4mm to 439mm in 35mm equivalent). The PMW-EX1 has an optical specification compensator function. By changing “Wide Conversion” in Camera Set menu “On” manually, chromatic aberration compensation and the image stabilizer mode is optimized for the VCL-EX0877.
